I study how tax systems work and try increase to improve on the equity/efficiency tradeoff, where possible.
In my academic work, from the revenue side, I study taxation and how to ensure governments share tax burdens optimally. From the spending side, I study procurement and how governments spend their money.
Research interests: public economics ( taxation, especially optimal capital income taxation and corporate taxation). Academic research: tax, public procurement, corruption, institutions.
